Task at Book Graphic and Illustration course was to design new illustration and layout to children fairy tale. The goal was to create something what gave new perspective to the story. I chose ”The little match girl” story for this assignment. 

I wanted to do beautiful and tender vision about the story. I draw the illustrations by hand with water-soluble marker. When the ink dried I spread the color with wet brush. This way I got dreamlike and floating mood to the illustrations. At the layout design I tried to use page spread in a new way. Therefore I decided to use beautiful typeface in bold big size.
